12 Lessons I Learnt From My Six Months Industrial Training

Having just completed my Six months Industrial training, which I did at Emco Associates Onithsa, A construction firm. I learned a lot of lessons about both school and Life...

Here are the 12 lessons I learned:

1. You are certainly on your own:

Sometimes you just think that you will have some helping hands, looks so much true, but its not always so, 90% times your Responsibilities wont get shared with anyone, even when working in a team.

2. You should know things you are meant to Already knw!

No one has that patience to wait for you to learn things you should have already learnt. The basics you are expected to know, make sure you know them... Always Go for knowledge!

3. Practice differs from classwork:

Sure, you should know this! Lots of tricks out there.

4. To be successful, you have to work hard.

Even your boss that have made it works harder than you that is starting, this tells you that you must work hard N hard!

5. Friends matters a lot

Make Good friends and you wont find life hard, believe me!

6. You Need a bit of luck

Sure, If am right, working hard may not be enough, pray for luck too.

8. Reading is very important.

If I should have studied all I was meant to, I would be a genius by now. Read, nt just reading, study, acquire knowledge its important.

9. Loneliness makes you less productive, believe me!

I was living alone for the six months,, out of loneliness I didn't do most things I should hv done, Am I right, I think or does loneliness inspire you?

10. Most Laborers has a degree too! Hmmm.

Not to get you scared thou, but most laborers I worked with at our building sites were Building and Civil Engineering Graduates, It just tells you that you Need something above the cert.. A real killer skill, and A business mind too. They earn cool thou, don't Get me wrong...

11. Always Ask for task.

Don't always wait to be given a work, when you are neglected by your boss, Ask him to assign you to a work, the more you complete tasks the more you get used to the system, and learn..

12. Finally, Speak up!

Ask questions, talk with people, Never choose to be dumb!

No 7 is missing Right? It's because it doesn't matter. So dont worry!
